We’re sorry if you are encountering issues with joining ThinkOnward challenges and are continually working towards improving the experience for our challenge community. This article aims to address common issues regarding joining challenges.
Issues arising from VPN usage
Users on a VPN connection will be restricted from joining challenges. Please be sure that you are visiting our website on a VPN-free connection.
Note that some educational institutions (schools, universities) and workplaces have VPN-enabled WiFi. While using such WiFi connections, you may encounter an error message explaining that we have detected you may be on a VPN connection, hence restricting your participation in the challenge.
Tip: If you are seeing a VPN restriction error message, you may wish to try visiting the challenge website using a mobile connection or a VPN-free WiFi connection. If neither of these work, please contact us here and we will do our best to help.
Issues arising from restricted geographic locations
Our challenge rules state that certain countries and regions are restricted from participating. Please refer to Section 2.b in our Terms of Use.
Unfortunately, we are unable to allow challenge participation from restricted countries and regions. If you believe you are being restricted in error, please contact us here.
