The Projects team is continuously looking for highly specialized talent. Follow this step-by-step guide to learn how to get hired on a project.

Once you've verified your account you will have access to apply for Projects and you will receive exclusive community news via email. 

Complete your ThinkOnward profile. 

Simply login to your profile on thinkonward.com and update your profile to give us more insight into your education and career background. 

Tip: Include your LinkedIn profiles to share even more of your background with us. The more we know, the better we can match you to specific project needs.

Onward matches specialized talent to a variety of rewarding projects. The team is looking to see if your skills match the description of the position. Apply to projects that best fit your background. 

Note: Applications that answer all the questions are prioritized first.

After we release the new projects to the ThinkOnward community, we will post a job on LinkedIn to further promote the contract position. Follow the ThinkOnward LinkedIn to stay in the loop. 

Attend ThinkOnward events to meet the team.

The ThinkOnward team plans to host a number of community events during the year that includes learning new skills, networking and open office hours for new projects. We encourage you to attend to meet the team lead. 

The more face time we have with you virtually or in person, the better we can get to know your career background and match you to exploration projects. 

Be prepared for the interview process.

After you apply -- If your profile, application and/or LinkedIn resume meet the requirements of the projects, the ThinkOnward team lead will ask to meet with you for an interview. Be prepared to answer questions such as:

  • Quickly tell us, what are all the prospects/plays/basins you’ve worked in your career to date?
  • What software packages are you familiar with?
  • Are you a lumper or a splitter?
  • How would you build a GDE using 2D seismic?

The projects run from a state-of-the-art virtual machine workspace, enabling you to execute projects from anywhere in the world. We look forward to learning more about you soon.
